Historic EarthOne of the best ways to keep history alive is to portray past people as living characters and to practice their skills in the manner of yore. Historic Earth participants form study groups to learn these skills.
All are welcome to join. Many Mystic Realms® historic scholars are part of other living-history groups. Mystic Realms® Historic Earth combines the elements of re-enactment societies with our Interactive Drama to create LIVE-ACTION! history.
Events take place in pivotal time periods where significant moral questions and issues had to be resolved. The play area is decorated to be the past. Player characters interact as their historic counterparts, while cast characters bring the world to life by portraying minor characters and antagonists. Conflict gives rise to action and all characters become part of living history.
The Mystic Realms® LIVE-ACTION! rules are also perfect for schools and other groups who want to be able to resolve character conflict in a manner that brings excitement to the topic.
Skill ResearchMystic Realms scholars are currently researching the following historic skills. Scholars consult historic manuscripts and attempt to recreate their teachings. Knowledge is shared at events. If you have a historic skill or would like to learn one please consider working with Mystic Realms scholars.

Stage CombatOne of the best ways to interest modern people in the past is through the ring of steel on steel. The sword has been part of human history since the dawn of civilization. Mystic Realms® "Fight Team" trains in stage combat using historic technique combined with solid entertainment principles. "Fight Team" scholars perform at the Mystic Realms® Fantasy Faire and at other events throughout the year.
